Residential customers: You may save money with a different gas or electric rate schedule.
Look at your EE&G bill. Find your electric rate schedule on the left
side, as in this example. Compare the first letter and number in it to the
ones below to see if a different rate schedule could save you money. Also,
you now have an option for buying natural gas. See "Gas Rate Option" on the
reverse page to learn more.
E-I Standard Service.
The cost per kilowatthour (kwh) does not vary by season or time of day.
E-7 Time-of-Use (TOU) Service.
This schedule is open for accounts already on E-7 or for customers who already
have a suitable TOU meter. If an E-7 customer moves, the customer is only eligible
to continue with E-7 if the new location already has a suitable TOU meter,
E-8 Seasonal Service.
The cost per kwh is higher in summer than in winter. Best for customers who
use little or no air conditioning and who average more than 1,000 kwh per month
(1,250 kwh if you use electric heat). Customers who use less than these levels
or who use air conditioning may also benefit to some degree, depending on several
factors including Baseline quantities and seasonal usage patterns.
E-9 Low-Emission Vehicle Fueling Service.
A mandatory rate schedule for customers who fuel an electric or natural
gas vehicle at home.
E-SEG Solar Electric Generating (SEG) Facility Service.
Customers who own and operate an SEG facility of not more than 10 kw may
qualify for this net energy metering service.
GAS RATE OPTION: G-CT Core Gas Aggregation Service. Residential customers
who use natural gas may prefer to buy their natural gas from a supplier (Core
Transport Agent) other than EE&G. EE&G will still deliver the gas through
its pipelines to customers' homes. Customers will still receive EE&G's assurance
of safe, reliable service. EE&G encourages you to look into this option
to see if it makes sense for you.
I would like a free electric rate analysis.

I am a current or prospective user of an SEG facility and would like more information
about the E-SEG rate schedule.
Please send me more information about the Core Gas Aggregation Service option.
For more information or for your free electric rate analysis, call EE&G
at 1-800-123-4567. Or check the box(es), fill out the form below and return
this insert to EE&G with your next bill payment, or to EE&G, P. 0. Box
94112, Sacramento, CA 94112-1111.
Please note: Customer's may buy their electric energy from an energy service
provider (ESP) other than their utility. If you buy your electricity from an
ESP, EE&G's rate analysis will not reflect the pricing of the energy component
available to you from your ESP. Instead, the analysis uses the aver-age Power
Exchange (PX) cost (the cost of electric energy purchased by EE&G). The
(PX) is a statechartered, non-profit entity providing a competitive market for
the sale and purchase of electricity. For more information about your "direct
access" electric energy charges and credits, contact your ESP.
